This is where we'll announce the latest news and things that are happening this month. If you've visited us before and want to know what's changed, take a look here first.

February 2004 - Jennifer Mason takes over from Gurdip Paddan as the Clerk to Whitnash Town Council.  Gurdip is moving on - she said "I'm saying goodbye to many friends and colleagues but as I shall still live here I hope to keep in contact".

October 2003 - Whitnash Town Council has been awarded Quality Town Council Status.  We are the ninth Council in the country and the first in Warwickshire and West Midlands to obtain the award. The Council has met all the stringent tests set by the Government and the Councillors and staff have worked very hard to pass the requirements. CONGRATULATIONS TO THE TOWN!

We would like your comments on the proposed 'Restricted Alcohol Zones' for South Farm play area and Acre Close playing field.  This will give the police more powers to prevent nuisance from alcohol consumption.  Please email your views to support the campaign.

Whitnash in Bloom - Working Group requires volunteers, if you can spare a couple of hours a year - please ring Cllr Stocks on 01926 336393.

Whitnash Fun Day was held on 6th April 2003 - a great day enjoyed by all.  A repeat performance next year, with added attractions.  The event raised over £500 for various charities, thanks to the generosity of local businesses and people.

Flower tubs and summer hanging baskets - please help to make the Town a beautiful place.  It's your Town -  be proud of it.

Additional litterbins installed

Harbury Lane/Tachbrook Road, new lane layout to improve traffic movement.

Past Mayor, Cllr Joe Short raised over £1,000 to his chosen charity - Myton Hospice, thanks to all.

New Whitnash bobby - PC Rod Joy, the police office in Whitnash has been upgraded.
